Implementing a life course approach in antenatal and postnatal care settings for prevention and reduction of non-communicable disease risks in Nepal (IpreventNCD)
The IpreventNCD program’s goal is to prevent and reduce NCD risks among pregnant and post-pregnant women and their offsprings, through a primary health care approach for antenatal care and postnatal care services. Our aims are to identify implementation determinants, and develop tailored implementation strategies, in a co-creation process with stakeholders.

Sammendrag
The pregnancy and the post-pregnancy periods provide widows of opportunities to prevent NCD risks in current and future generations. Interventions addressing NCD risk factors: tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity, are recommended. However, there is a gap between what we know and what we do. Engaging stakeholders and addressing contextual implementation determinants are critical elements for successful implementation. We will conduct a needs assessment, by collecting qualitative data and secondary data, to understand implementation determinants. We will adapt interventions and tailor implementation strategies.
