Global Infectious Diseases
The NIPH works with several partner countries to strengthen prevention and control of infectious diseases. Some of the partnerships are under the BIS project, other projects are funded through the EU or other funding agents.
The Norad-funded Building Stronger Public Health Institutions and Systems (BIS)[S[1.1] programme in Malawi is a long-term partnership between the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and the Public Health Institute of Malawi (PHIM).

Under the BIS program, NIPH is continuing long-term collaboration with Ghana to contribute to strengthening public health capacity within the Ghana Ministry of Health.
