All about the Youth, Culture and Competence study

The main goal of this project is to make research-based measures available to promote ethnic identity and good psychosocial adjustment among adolescents in multicultural schools in Norway.

We are examining the effect of a manual based, low-threshold program for trauma recovery (Teaching Recovery Techniques) targeting asylum seeking children living in reception centers in Norway.

How do social and cultural factors influence children’s development, coping skills, competence and well-being? This is what we would like to answer through the Youth, Culture and Competence project.

Unaccompanied refugee minors are children and young people under 18 who come to Norway to seek asylum without their parents or other legal guardians.
