Changes in travel advice for Italy and Slovenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against non-essential travel to Italy, Slovenia, Vatican City and San Marino.

Go to the home pageBased on the weekly evaluation of the transmission status for coronavirus, the Government has decided that the countries mentioned above will change from yellow to red on the infection map for Europe. As a result, the travel advice will also change.
All travellers from these countries who arrive in Norway from 5th September must be in quarantine for 10 days.
The NIPH also recommends removing entry quarantine for travellers from Cyprus. The country has had a decline in the number of cases and, as of 31st August, fewer than 20 cases per 100 000 inhabitants over the last two weeks. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced an exception from travel advice for Cyprus, which will change from red to yellow on the map for Europe.
The same applies to the Swedish regions of Örebro, Gotland, Värmland, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Västerbotten and the Danish region of Zealand (excluding the Capital region), which will all change from red to yellow on the map.
The changes are effective from Saturday 5th September at 00:00 a.m.
