Responsibilities
Dr. scient in molecular cell biology, Institute of Biology at the University of Oslo, 1992. Worked in virology at the Norwegian Inst. of Public Health since 1987, first on HIV and since 1996 on influenza, became director of the National Influenza Centre in 1999. Broad experience in influenza surveillance and response at national and international level, pandemic preparedness, molecular virology and seroepidemiology.
