Division for Infection Control and Environmental Health - management and staff
The area staff closely collaborates with the area director and the leadership in the area, contributing to the development and operation of the area through planning processes, financial management, and improvement efforts.
The area staff has a broad work and responsibility scope, including:

- Internal communication
- Crisis and emergency management
Finance
The staff ensures the financial follow-up for the area and the coronavirus vaccination program. This includes tasks such as budget proposals and financial forecasts, budgeting, and reporting.
Procurement and Acquisition
Procurement coordinators provide advice and support to the departments in the area through various phases of the acquisition process, including planning, execution, and contract management.
Research Administrative Support (FAS)
Externally funded projects in the area are monitored, and FAS contacts contribute to tasks such as budgeting, follow-up, and financial management in the area's project portfolio. Project leaders receive support for financial monitoring and reporting.
Quality Assurance
Quality systems are updated according to current regulations, facilitating visits from Norwegian Accreditation and the Directorate for Medical Products (DMP). Additionally, internal audits and inspections are conducted 20 to 30 times a year.
Planning and Control
The staff collaborates closely with Business Management, acting as a link between Business Management and the departments in the area. They facilitate the implementation and follow-up of various activities in the annual cycle, including updating governance documents, monitoring measures, and reporting on risk analyses.
