EUCanScreen

EUCanScreen is a project Co-funded by the EU (2024–2028) with the aim of strengthening cancer screening across Europe.

About the project

  • Project period: 2024 - 2028
  • Coordinating Institution: University of Latvia (LU), screening@lu.lv
  • Project Participants:
    • Norwegian Institute of Public Health
    • The Directorate of Health

The project seeks both to further develop existing screening programmes for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer, and to assess the feasibility of introducing screening for lung, prostate and gastric cancer.

The goal is to contribute to more effective cancer prevention, exchange knowledge, and ensure equitable access to screening for populations across Europe.

The Cancer Registry of Norway at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health leads several tasks, with a particular focus on communication, training, and reducing inequalities in healthcare.

Norway’s role in EUCanScreen
