The Students’ Health and Well-being Study (SHoT) 2022 was a nationwide questionnaire survey that mapped the health, quality of life, and academic performance of Norwegian students. On this page, you will find information about the survey.
About SHoT 2022
The SHoT survey 2022 was conducted between February 8th and April 10th, 2022. The purpose was to examine the health and well-being of students. This is Norway's largest student survey on the topic.
The survey is national and is carried out by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health on behalf of the student welfare organizations SiO, Sammen, and Sit. The survey maps out the prerequisites and framework conditions for students' learning. The main purpose is to highlight psychosocial conditions and how these affect the study situation and everyday life in general, so that the welfare services for students can be improved.

- Housing and finance
- Well-being and quality of life
- Mental and physical health
- Drugs and alcohol
- Sleep
- Suicidality and self-harm
- Bullying and sexual harassment
In addition, students were asked about digital teaching and topics related to the coronavirus.
