Vaccine recommendations for some travellers

These vaccines are recommended for some travellers visiting this country. The recommendation depends on the duration of the stay, type of travel/activity, the traveller's health etc., and should be assessed by a doctor.

Malaria

Transmission of mosquito-borne diseases occurs. Mosquito bite prevention recommended, see insect bites and stings.

Northern parts of the country (Regions of Eastern Macedonia/Thrace, Thessaly, and the prefecture of Thessaloniki) May to October: Mosquito-bite prevention, see insect bites and stings.

The rest of the country: No malaria risk.

Travel advice
