Other relevant matters

Mosquito-borne infections

There may be an increased risk of mosquito-borne infections in this country. We encourage you to follow the advice for bite prevention, listed under “Insect Bites and Stings” below.

Yellow Fever Certificate

Since the last WHO update, we have become aware that some countries have made changes to their certificate requirements and may require proof of vaccination for all travellers. We therefore encourage travellers and healthcare providers to check the current entry requirements with local health authorities.

Yellow fever vaccine should be administered at a vaccination site that also issues a yellow fever certificate. This is typically done by certain doctors, travel clinics, or vaccination offices.

Tick-Borne Encephalitis (TBE)

There is limited data about TBE (Tick-Borne Encephalitis) occurrence among humans in this country, and not enough to determine whether vaccination is recommended or not. Therefore, we encourage the traveller, healthcare professionals and vaccinators to check information from local health authorities for a better overview of the risk of transmission.
