Norwegian Surveillance System for Communicable Diseases (MSIS)
Notification of infectious diseases to MSIS is an important part in the surveillance of infectious diseases in Norway.
The mandatory national health registries were established to maintain national functions.
The effectiveness of the vaccine is evaluated through the national surveillance of the HPV vaccination programme. Since 2017, the incidence of HPV genotypes in cervical cancer and precursors to cervical cancer is monitored in MSIS.
Researchers and others can apply for access to data from the Norwegian Surveillance System for Communicable Diseases (MSIS).
