Netcompany is an international company with almost 3000 employees and its headquarters in Copenhagen. The company was the selected vendor for the Danish Smittestop app this summer. The finite deadline to submit a bid for the development of the Smittestopp app expired yesterday at noon.

“Netcompany submitted a strong bid. It is a great benefit to build on the experiences from Denmark as we develop the new app in Norway. The company’s bid meets the requirements set in the tender documents well, and we strongly believe that we will get a good result by collaborating with this company,” says Gun Peggy Knudsen, Deputy Director General.

The same team that developed the Danish app will work with the Norwegian version.

Only one vendor submitted a proposal

The proposal from Netcompany was the only bid submitted against the open Request for Proposal (RFP).

“We were surprised that only one bid was submitted. There has been great interest in the app and a lot of engagement in the developer community in Norway,” says Gun Peggy Knudsen.

The new app should be ready for launch on 21st December.
