Leadership, global health, implementation research, mental health, trauma and trauma treatment.
Ane Marthe Solheim Skar, PhD, is a research professor in psychology and the scientific director of the Global Health Cluster at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Her research focuses on implementation science, mental health, and global health. In addition to her scientific work, she engages in strategic development within these fields through board positions in networks and programs that seek to coordinate and strengthen Norway’s efforts in global health and implementation research. This includes serving as the chair of Global Health Norway and as a board member of the Portfolio Board for Democracy and Global Development at the Research Council of Norway. She also contributes to voluntary initiatives, such as serving as a board member and evaluation expert for the International Child Development Programme. In parallel with her role at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, she holds a part time research professorship at the Norwegian Center for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies.
