Jonas Minet Kinge

Responsibilities
Jonas Minet Kinge is a Senior Researcher in Health Economics at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. His research focuses on forcasting of health, healthcare expenditures, and health policy, as well as the economic consequences of demographic and societal changes. He has also worked extensively on social and economic inequalities in health, health behaviors, and disease burden, and on how health and welfare systems can help reduce such disparities. Kinge uses large registry and population data to analyze trends in public health and the effects of political and structural changes over time.
He has led several research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway and has published widely in international journals across health economics, demography, medicine, and public health. Kinge is also a Professor at the University of Oslo, where he teaches health economics and policy and supervises master’s and PhD students. He has extensive experience with peer review, committee work, and academic supervision, and participates in national and international research networks.
Through his research, teaching, and collaboration, Kinge works to develop knowledge that can inform health and welfare policy decisions and contribute to a more equitable and sustainable healthcare system.
