Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services has been commissioned
by the Norwegian Rheumatism Association to search for research on the effects of various treatments on need for surgical interventions in people with osteoarthritis.
Methods
On 28 April 2010, we searched for relevant systematic reviews in The Cochrane Library, MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) and PEDro. Two researchers screened the titles and abstracts, and assessed their relevance independently. We used predefined inclusion criteria.
Results
The literature search identified 786 unique publications, of which only one appeared to be relevant.
