Information for participants in the pilot study testing a new method for collecting information on key risk factors for so called non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and lung diseases.
I have received an invitation to participate, what do I do now?
First, you must provide consent to participate in the pilot study. You will find a link to the consent form in the digital letter you received from your general practitioner via Helsenorge or PatientPost. The form must be signed electronically using BankID.
After completing the consent form, you can book an appointment with your general practitioner as usual. Remember to write “FHI study” in the comment field when booking so that your GP knows what the appointment concerns.
During the appointment, several risk factors for non-communicable diseases will be measured. You will receive immediate feedback on your blood pressure, height, weight, and waist and hip measurements after the consultation. Results from the blood test will be available a few days later by logging in via the ID portal at furstpasient.no.
Here you can find a copy of the consent form (in Norwegian): Concent form
Note: It must be signed with BankID by following the link in the invitation letter you received digitally from your GP.
Do you want to withdraw from the study?
Participation in the study is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without providing a reason. There will be no negative consequences if you choose not to participate or decide to withdraw later.
