Successful Stakeholder Forum

The second Stakeholder Forum of the NORSURV project was held online on 5 March 2026, bringing together around 70 participants. The presentation slides from the meeting are available here.
Attendees represented hospital infection control departments, medical microbiology laboratories, municipal medical officers, and national authorities. Participants received updates on the project and provided valuable feedback to the project leadership.
The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Mirela Slomic of the Directorate of Health. Project leader Preben Aavitsland from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) then presented the background and overall objectives of the NORSURV project. Anne-Marte Bakken Kran, leader of Work Package 2, followed with a detailed status update on the development of integrated surveillance. Petter Heradstveit then reported on progress in Work Package 3 on epidemic intelligence.
After the presentations, participants were invited to ask questions and share comments and advice.
In closing, Preben Aavitsland thanked participants for their valuable contributions, noting that their input will help guide the further development of the project. He invited participants to a new Stakeholder Forum meeting in approximately six months.
