About the survey

The Norwegian National Public Health Survey (NHUS) is an annual survey conducted by FHI.

In the survey, we ask questions about your health, quality of life, mental health, physical activity and diet, as well as some background information.

This year, the survey also includes three topic modules on health and work, active aging, women's and men's health, sexual health, life experiences, and changes in lifestyle habits. You will be randomly assigned one module and therefore only respond to some of these topics.

The results from the survey are published in a way so that no individuals can be recognized. We use your information in accordance with data protection regulations.

This is why your answers are important

By participating, you contribute to knowledge about how people are doing in different parts of the country and in various population groups. Your answers give us a better picture of how people your age, in your area, and in similar situations are doing. This knowledge is used to understand challenges and prioritize measures where the needs are greatest.

Who can participate?

To participate in the survey, you must have received an invitation by SMS or email. We have randomly selected and sent invitations to about 100,000 people living in Norway.

Why were you invited?

You have been randomly selected from the National Population Register. FHI obtained your contact information from the Contact and Reservation Register.

Win a gift card

Everyone who completes the survey enters a draw to win a universal gift card worth 1,000 NOK. We will select 30 winners.
