The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) wants to learn more about public health. If you’ve received an invitation via SMS, we would appreciate your participation!
You’ll need to log in via ID-porten to give your consent and answer the questions.
Good to know before you start
- The survey consists of one questionnaire, which you can complete on your mobile phone, tablet, or computer.
- It is available in the following languages: Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, Sami, English, Polish, Somali, Tigrinya, and Ukrainian.
- It takes about 20 minutes to complete.
- As a thank you, you can choose to enter a prize draw for one of 30 gift cards worth NOK 1,000.

About the survey
The Norwegian Public Health Survey is an annual questionnaire conducted by NIPH. We ask about your health, quality of life, mental well-being, lifestyle habits such as physical activity and diet, and some background information. These data help to inform public health efforts and research.
This year, we’re taking a closer look at diet and nutrition, respiratory infections, mental health and the use of health services.
Your responses will be treated confidentially and published in a way that ensures no individuals can be identified. We process your data in accordance with privacy regulations.
Who can participate?
To take part, you must have received an invitation via SMS. Around 100,000 people living in Norway have been randomly selected and invited.
Why were you invited?
You were randomly selected from the National Population Register. NIPH retrieved your contact information from the Contact and Reservation Register.
Win a gift card
Everyone who completes the survey can choose to enter a draw for a universal gift card worth NOK 1,000. We will draw 30 winners.
