The Norwegian Registry for Primary Health Care (NRPHC) is a collection of registries with personally identifiable information. It contains information on applicants and recipients of healthcare in Norwegian municipalities.
Background
The main purpose of the Norwegian Registry for Primary Health Care (NRPHC) is to provide local, regional and national health authorities with a basis for planning, management, funding and evaluation of municipal health and care services.
NRPHC can also be used for quality improvement, preventive work, emergency preparedness, analysis and research.
Information in NRPHC
Norwegian Registry for Primary Health Care (NRPHC) contains data reported by municipalities on people who have applied for, receive, or have received municipal health and care services. The regulation of the Norwegian Registry for Primary Health Care specifies which information may be recorded.
NRPHC is being developed in stages and will eventually include data from more health services.
Areas covered by NRPHC
KPR includes several sub‑registers:
- GP services, out‑of‑hours medical services and physiotherapy etc. (KPR KUHR)
- Municipal health and care services (KPR KTT)
- Child health clinics and school health services (KPR HST)
- Dental health services (KPR TANN)
