Our work on climate and health is dedicated to research, collaboration with international organizations, and support for national public health institutes that focus on building and strengthening climate-resilient health systems.
We conduct applied research (i.e., scoping reviews, case studies), knowledge exchange, and engage with global and national partners. Current collaborations include the International Association of National Public Health Institutes, Africa CDC, the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Jimma University, Lund University, and the Nepal Health Research Council and Planetary Health Research Centre.
We have contributed to several research projects including: the design and development of a Climate and Health Research Factsheet series for the Horizon 2020-funded ENBEL project (Enhancing Belmont Research Action to support EU policy making on climate change and health); and contributed to a Belmont Forum-funded research project entitled, Community collective action to respond to climate change influencing the environment-health nexus, with partners in Alaska and Trinidad and Tobago.
