Go to the home pageHans Fredrik will investigate the close link between mental health and social differences, which could be a key for understanding how social differences are transmitted through generations. More specifically, he will investigate if and to what extent parental and child mental health give rise to social differences (and vice versa) above shared genetic risk factors.
-Hans Fredrik has already impressed me by his data analysis skills and he reads a lot. This is the man to ask for a book tip, says Fartein Ask Torvik, project manager for REMENTA and supervisor for Hans Fredrik.
Hans Fredrik has a master’s degree in psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he specialized on the subject learning; brain, behavior and environment. He is self-taught in R and likes to learn new things and convey his knowledge, both professional and popularizing.
Before starting at the CEFH, he was a research assistant at NTNU doing miscellaneous tasks such as analyzing data and holding seminars. He gave weekly demonstrations of Stata, a statistical program, for new master’s students, and lectured on the replication crisis and related statistics for bachelor’s students.
