Professor Rolv Skjærven at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Bergen was awarded a ERC Advanced Grant of 2,5 million euro from the European Research Council. The University of Bergen also contribute to the project with approx. 1,5 million euro. Skjærven is also a researcher at the Centre for Fertility and Health.

The aim of the research project is to advance our understanding of how pregnancy complications affect the long-term maternal health and help to develop more effective chronic disease prevention strategies.
