New: Children under 18 do not need a booster dose for a valid COVID-19 certificate
The EU recently decided that children under the age of 18 have a valid COVID-19 certificate indefinitely after primary vaccination. Primary vaccination means that they have had two vaccine doses, or one vaccine dose and they can document that they have also had COVID-19 disease. The EU has asked all countries to adapt their own rules to this as soon as possible, and no later than 6 April.
New: You can see your child's COVID-19 certificate on your control page
If you have children under the age of 16, you can now see their COVID-19 certificate on your control page by scrolling down. This will make it easier to show the COVID-19 certificate for the family when travelling.
Remember that people over the age of 18 have a valid COVID-19 certificate indefinitely if they have received a booster dose
If you have received a booster dose, the COVID-19 certificate will be valid indefinitely.
The same applies to people under the age of 18 who have completed their primary vaccination.
People who have completed primary vaccination over the age of 18 who do not have a booster dose have a valid COVID-19 certificate for 270 days. People who can document that they have had COVID-19 disease have a valid COVID-19 certificate from day 11 to day 180 after a positive test.
Several countries also accept COVID-19 certificates based on recent negative tests.
