The escalating accumulation of health data in health care registries, alongside efforts to integrate and share data across registries, offers a promising avenue for advancing medical research.

Tools to detect cancer at an early stage and improve survival are of great importance. The overall aim of this project is to investigate circulating RNAs as potential early biomarkers for cancer.

In this project, we have demonstrated that a cell sample taken at home by the woman herself is just as accurate as a cell sample taken by a doctor during a gynecological examination for HPV testing.

Among the various reasons why a significant number of women do not attend cervical screening is unwillingness to undergo pelvic examination which is necessary in conventional screening.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination is one of the latest developments within cervical cancer prevention. While clinical trials performed to test vaccines are ongoing for only a few years, the expected vaccine effect should be long lasting.
