The department has employees with diverse backgrounds: nursing, biology, medicine, political science/sociology, pharmacists, and information technology. Our core competencies are knowledge about infectious disease prevention and control and relevant legislation about health registries, data collection, surveillance, quality assurance, data delivery, analysis and interpretation of the data, epidemiology, statistics and communication.
A main priority for the department is to have a comprehensive focus on infectious disease registries, by streamlining data collection from healthcare providers, data collation and processing, with solutions that make it easier for healthcare providers to follow the patient throughout the course of their treatment.
