Responsibilities
Anja Schou Lindman is a deparment director, Divisjon of health care services. Her main responsibility is to establish and develop Stat19, a data and analytics platform at NIPH, where employees produce statistics and insights by integrating health registry data from NIPH’s registries. The statistics generated through Stat19 are designed to fulfill NIPH’s societal mission of providing knowledge to improve public health and health care services. This work is aligned with NIPH’s broader initiatives to enhance the use and value of health data.
She previously served as Department Director for the Unit for Health Service Research in the Division of Health Services at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) from 2021 to 2024. She previously held the position of Department Director for the Department of Infectious Diseases from 2016 to 2018. Before joining NIPH in 2016, Lindman worked as a researcher at the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services. Her earlier experience includes a postdoctoral position at NIPH (2009) and a PhD (2005) from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo.
