Responsibilities

Maria Andersen has a multidisciplinary background with a BA in Economics and a joint MSc in Economics and Psychology. Her PhD project is part of the research project "PARMENT - Parenthood, childlessness, and mental health in times of falling fertility", funded by the Research Council of Norway’s FRIPRO programme.

Research interests:

- How family formation and caregiving responsibilities affect women’s and men’s health and labour market participation over time

- Health economics, with a particular focus on gender and the labour market

- How health inequalities emerge and are reinforced over time
