Kathryn Christine Beck

Responsibilities
Kathryn Beck has a background in nursing and a Master's degree in public health from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), with a specialization in Global Health. She has also worked as a research assistant focusing on educational inequalities in health and interventions targeting child health inequalities. Her PhD project was a part of the research project “Lost in Transition? Uncovering Social and Health Consequences of Sub-Optimal Transitions in the Education System” financed by the Research Council of Norway.
She is investigating the links between differences in pubertal timing and inequalities in education as a part of the research project "Pubertal Timing and Inequalities in Education (Puberty&Education)" financed by the Research Council of Norway.
Research interests: -Social inequalities in health and education -Educational inequalities -Mental health among youth and young adults -Pubertal timing and consequences for school performance and educational inequalities
