Responsibilities
Kathryn Beck holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Oslo, in addition to a background in nursing and a Master’s degree in Global Health from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She has previously worked as a research assistant focusing on education and health inequalities, as well as interventions aimed at reducing health disparities among children.
Her doctoral project was part of the research project “Lost in Transition? Uncovering Social and Health Consequences of Sub-Optimal Transitions in the Education System”, funded by the Research Council of Norway. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the project "Pubertal Timing and Inequalities in Education (Puberty & Education)", where she investigates how variations in the timing of puberty are linked to inequalities in educational pathways. The project is funded by the Research Council of Norway.
