Biobanks
The Department of Biobanks is responsible for biobank services at NIPH
The biobank can offer a number of services within biobanking, whether you only need a freezer space or also planning and collection. We can create customized solutions and prepare agreements that are tailored to your needs.
The overall goal of the activities at the biobank is to contribute to increased
knowledge about health, by providing assistance in the sample collection, storage and
distribution of biological material in various health surveys in the Norwegian population.
The biobank has a well-established and professional system for receiving and processing biological material, with good quality routines and protocols. This provides security and traceability for all samples stored in the Biobank.
