Anne Line Bretteville-Jensen

Responsibilities
Anne Line Bretteville-Jensen holds a Master's degree in Health Economics from the University of Oslo and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Bergen (2003). She has been engaged in substance abuse research since 1992, initially at the Norwegian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Research (SIFA) until 2001, following the merger at the Norwegian Institute for Drug and Alcohol Research (SIRUS) from 2001 to 2016, and subsequently at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health since 2016. She served as a guest researcher at the University of York in 1994/95 and at Melbourne University in 2006/2007. Key research areas include heroin demand, overdose fatalities, estimation of the number of heavy drug users, cannabis use, new psychoactive substances (NPS), trends in drug use, initiation of substance use, drug users in treatment, smoking cessation, youth and alcohol, and drug policy.
