The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs commissioned a systematic review on the effects of multisystemic interventions for children with behavioral problems.
Summary
A considerable number of children and youth are affected by conduct problems, which negatively affect themselves as well as people close to them. Therefore, it is important to offer children, youth, parents and other adults assistance that can prevent conduct problems escalating into adolescence and adulthood. The Division of Health Services at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health was commissioned by the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs to conduct a systematic review on the effects of multisystemic interventions for children with behavioral problems. The two research questions are: What are the effects of multisystemic interventions for children and youth (age 3-18) who are at risk of developing serious behavioral problems? What are the effects of secondary- and tertiary preventive interventions for children and youth (age 8-25) who have a criminal history?
