"Health and Environment in Oslo" is a research project that began in autumn 2009. The research project will study how factors in the local environment can affect people's health in general and cardiovascular disease in particular.

  • All those who were invited to take part in the Oslo Health Study (HUBRO) in 2000–2001 and who are living in Norway, were invited to participate. This was approximately 35,000 people in the 39–85 year age group.

The information supplied by the participants was put together with information from various registers and earlier health studies. By comparing the data from HUBRO we can study trends in health, lifestyle and quality of life over time. The results from the questionnaire will be included in a large European project that includes 30 countries.
