About Global NCDs
Reduce risk factors
Tobacco use, harmful use of alcohol, physical inactivity, unhealthy diets, and air pollution are risk factors covered by the Non-communicable Disease agenda.
A national strategy with targets and indicators is associated with successful implementation of interventions to prevent and control Non-communicable Diseases.
The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target 3.4 is to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by a third by 2030 relative to 2015 levels.
