Key message
In February/March, the WHO annually assesses if the components of the influenza vaccine for the northern hemisphere for the coming season should be changed or not.
The WHO National Influenza Centre Norway at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health has prepared a report to the WHO in February 2018.
The report describes the influenza situation in Norway and focuses on immunity in the population and genetic characterisation of influenza viruses circulating in Norway.
