Methodological issues in economic evaluations
The aim of this project is to contribute with updated knowledge on relevant methodological developments within the field of economic evaluations, as well as knowledge on the use of alternative methods in applied studies.
In collaboration with other health economic researchers and analysts, we will contribute to develop methods of particular relevance to Norwegian decision makers, and make methods for the calculation of key Norwegian cost items open and accessible.
i) How are health gains in terms of quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) being estimated;
ii) Which cost items are included and how are they estimated; and
iii) In which ways can existing priority setting criteria be taken into account.
