Oslo invites to participation in the Public Health Survey

Oslo municipality and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) are conducting a public health survey in Oslo. The survey will map the well-being, health, and quality of life among the city’s residents. Approximately 160.000 randomly selected Oslo-residents will be invited to participate in the survey.

The public health survey will begin on November 4th, 2024, with the districts of Stovner and Grorud, and will then be rolled out across all districts within the span of two weeks. Invitations will be sent out via text message and e-mail. Participants will be randomly selected from the National Population Registry among Oslo-residents over the age of 18. The individuals that are invited will receive a personal link to the questionnaire, which can be completed on a mobile phone, tablet, or computer.
The questionnaire is available in eight languages: Norwegian (Bokmål and Nynorsk), Ukrainian, Arabic, Urdu, Tigrinya, Somali, Polish and English.
The survey is conducted by Verian and Norwegian Gallup on behalf of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and the municipality of Oslo. Personal data is handled confidentially, and the survey follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the guidelines of the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) regarding the processing of personal data.
