Abstract
Assisted reproduction and feto-maternal medicine are ethically controversial fields of work. The Norwegian legislation concerning these areas of medicine were massively liberalized in May 2020 after years of political gridlock. In this seminar Hans Ivar Hanevik, researcher at CeFH and member of The Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board, presents the legislative changes that will now be implemented. The subsequent discussion will focus on the possibilities for research that this abrupt change in legislative environment offers in fields of study central to the CeFH.

The Centre for Fertility and Health is a Centre of Excellence (SFF) at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health funded by the Research Council of Norway.
