This Friday, Ole Bernt Lenning will present on "A possible covariation between COVID19 lethality and Y Chromosome R1b in perspective of the epidemiological situation" at 13.00.
The lethality and morbidity of COVID-19 seems to be unequally distributed across the world. There are marked sex differences in severity. The involvement of androgens as well as Y linked genes together with the observation of statistical significant regional covariation between COVID-19 and Haplogroup R1b, collectively point to a possible role of Y chromosome in COVID-19 severity.
