An HTA about intermittent pneumatic compression compared with other treatments to prevent deep vein thrombosis in immobile patients with acute stroke.
Summary
The Norwegian Institute of Public Health has been commissioned by Bestillerforum RHF, the commissioning forum of the The National System for Managed Introduction of New Health Technologies within the Specialist Health Service in Norway, to prepare an HTA on the effectiveness and safety in addition to a health economic evaluation of intermittent pneumatic compression compared with other treatments to prevent deep vein thrombosis in immobile patients with acute stroke. Because of limited resources the health economic evaluation will probably start in the autumn of 2020.
