Elicitation of a Norwegian EQ-5D Value Set and Normative Data for the Economic Evaluation of Health Care Programs
Project
|Updated
EQ-5D value sets and normative data will be derived through nationally representative surveys of the general population.
Summary
EQ-5D value sets and normative data will be derived through nationally representative surveys of the general population. In accordance with previous research and EQ-5D protocol, the survey questionnaires will include the EQ-5D-5L health state descriptive system that is completed by respondents to give a rating of current health status. This is followed by the health state valuation questions, the data from which contribute to the final value set. Aappropriate survey methodology and qualitative research methods including cognitive interviews, will underpin the research and scientific quality of the value set. Quantitative methods, including regression models, that have had international application in deriving EQ-5D value sets will be applied to the survey data to derive Norwegian EQ-5D-5L scoring algorithms and normative data for the instrument.
