Published Updated

The National System for Managed Introduction of New Health Technologies promotes disinvestment of obsolete technologies.

Summary

The National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) contributes to The National System for Managed Introduction of New Health Technologies (Nye metoder), to ensure that technologies introduced to the Specialist Health Service are assessed with regard to clinical effectiveness, safety, cost effectiveness, and other relevant appraisal issues. The system is also intended to promote disinvestment of obsolete technologies.  To achieve more timely and unified disinvestment there might be a need for a systematic process connected to The National System.
