Go to the home pageTest results from the coronavirus test can be found by logging in to helsenorge.no. Many people who have taken coronavirus tests log on to the test results page several times because they are keen to find out if their result is available. Now you can receive a notification on your mobile phone or by e-mail when it is ready so you do not need to keep logging in to check.
How am I notified?
To receive a phone or email notification, you need to create a user account on helsenorge.no. Over 4 million inhabitants already have a user account there. If you are unsure whether you have a user account, go to helsenorge.no and select log in. People who have not previously used Helsenorge will be asked for their consent to use the service.
You can decide whether you want notification by SMS or e-mail, or both, by changing your settings at helsenorge.no/en/contact-details/.
When you have received notification by SMS or e-mail
You can find the test result in the Test result service at Helsenorge. You will find a link to this page from various places, such as on the Helsenorge front page, in the menu, or in the overview of services on the front page. You can also go to the message you received and follow the link to the Test Results service. The message appears by clicking on your name at the top right of the page when you are logged in. There you will see that you have received a new message. This is a little more detailed than the notification that came via SMS or e-mail, but does not contain the actual test result.
Which test results can you find on helsenorge.no?
You can access your own test results as well as test results for your children under the age of 16. Several viruses and bacteria can cause respiratory tract infections and symptoms similar to COVID-19. In the search for the correct diagnosis, the doctor may order tests analyses for other respiratory tract infections. The results from these other tests will also be shown on the page.
You are notified at the same time as the doctor
You will get notification and access to the result at the same time as the municipal medical officers, so if you get a positive result, it is important that you follow guidelines from fhi.no, even if the contact tracing team has not yet contacted you. The contact tracing team only makes contact if there is a confirmed / positive result.
