Background

Alexandra Havdahl leads the psychiatric genetic epidemiology research groups at the Department of Mental Disorders of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and Nic Waals Institute of Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital. She is also an Associate Professor at the University of Oslo Department of Psychology. Since 2007, she has worked with data collection and research on autism, neurodevelopment and mental disorders in the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa), a general population pregnancy cohort run by the NIPH. She participates in several international projects, including as coordinator of the MoBa contribution to Psychiatric Genomics Consortium working groups, and as member of the Lancet Commission on the Future of Care and Clinical Research in Autism.?
