Receive post from Norwegian Institute of Public Health via Digipost or e-Boks
Like many other public agencies in Norway, the NIPH can now send post to your digital mailbox.
Choose digital mailbox at norge.no
Regular e-mail is not a secure way to send messages. You need to have a digital mailbox to receive digital post from public agencies. It is safe and simple to receive post digitally when you have a digital mailbox from Digipost or e-Boks. You use your electronic ID to log in and read your digital post from public agencies and letters can be stored for as long as you wish.
Why do I need digital post when I have e-mail?
Public agencies cannot send sensitive information, for example health data, by e-mail. A lack of encryption in e-mail solutions makes them a very insecure means of communication. Digital post can be compared to sending by recorded delivery.
What if you don't have a digital mailbox?
Without a digital mailbox you will have to log in to each agency's web solution to read post, or receive letters on paper.
You can opt out by ringing freephone 800 30 300 or online at http://www.norge.no/en/opting-out. You will continue to receive important letters from public agencies on paper.
