Niki Marjerrison

Responsibilities
Niki Marjerrison is a postdoctoral researcher with the PFAS project. She is using the Janus Serum Biobank to explore the relationship between kidney and testicular cancer and exposure to PFAS “forever chemicals”. She also works on the firefighter project project and the offshore workers project, investigating cancer risk, all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease risk in relation to various occupational exposures. Her research interests include occupational and environmental epidemiology, disease etiology, and non-communicable diseases.
Niki holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Oslo (2023). For her PhD thesis, she worked on the firefighter project at the Cancer Registry of Norway. She holds an MPhil in International Community Health from the University of Oslo (2018) and a BSc in kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, Canada (2014).
