Jørgen Eriksson Midtbø

I am an infectious disease modeller, particularly interested in agent-based models - how to build them, how to make them effective and how to compare them to data. In the process I make use of statistical methods, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Diseases I have worked on include covid-19, hepatitis C, varicella/herpes zoster, RS virus and gonorrhea. I am also interested in practical and theoretical aspects of vaccine effectiveness estimation. I have a PhD in nuclear physics from the University of Oslo.
