Benedikte Louise Alveberg

Responsibilities
Alveberg coordinates global and regional activities in the BIS-program (2021-2025) which aims to build and strengthen public health institutes and systems in low- and middle-income countries. Alveberg leads the teams that collaborate with global and multinational organizations, incl. WHO, Africa CDC and the International Association for National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI). Since 2018, Alveberg advices the chair of the independent monitoring and accountability mechanism Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB). Previously Alveberg worked in WHO on health, trade and foreign policy (2002-2009) and in Norwegian MOH and the secretariat for the Foreign Policy and Global Health at MFA and NORAD (2009-2013).
