This workshop will introduce the GRADE Evidence to Decision (EtD) framework taking a hands-on, step-by-step approach, using the online, interactive EtD (iEtD) and working in small groups.
The EtD framework is a systematic, transparent, and flexible approach to support the use of research evidence by guideline panels and policymakers. It helps ensure that all important factors are considered, enables structured discussions, makes it easier to identify disagreements, and provides transparency. The framework includes key criteria (factors) to consider, judgements for each criterion, informed by evidence, and conclusions based on those judgements.
Using a framework for a recommendation about the use of facemasks in public spaces, each group will discuss framing the question, make and discuss judgements for each criterion, and discuss a recommendation based on those judgements.
